Rooted in Arazuri, Spain, and expanding its European outlook, CARMA-H2 represents a journey from local innovation to continental ambition. After launching its efforts in Spain with a visit to the pilot plant, the project held its second meeting in Oslo, where the bioPMR’s core components are manufactured.
A highlight of the visit was touring SINTEF’s facilities and CoorsTek’s laboratories, where the team develops these crucial components, bringing the bioPMR technology closer to implementation.
Beyond the site visit, the two-day meeting provided an important opportunity for project partners to share progress, align on next steps, and strengthen their collective commitment to delivering scalable, sustainable hydrogen from local waste, as well as pure food-grade CO₂ ready for reuse.
“This meeting confirmed how crucial in-person collaboration is – not just for technical progress, but for shaping a shared vision of CARMA-H2’s potential impact“, said project coordinator Nancy Tarjenian Astour.
